Match is a youth born in the year 3004 on the planet Infernus. Growing up in Silver Town, he lived as an outcast and struggled against the constant bullying of a rival named Hothead. His life took a dramatic turn in 3020 when he discovered a mysterious artifact known as "Da Box." This connection unlocked a deep well of pyrokinetic power within him, allowing Match to leave his life as an outcast behind and take up the mantle of Firebox to protect his home.

Hothead is a former bully who frequently harassed Match during their school years on the planet Infernus. As Match’s primary rival, he took advantage of Match’s status as an outcast until the dynamic between them shifted. Once Match discovered his powers and became capable of defending himself, Hothead was forced to reckon with this newfound strength, eventually leading him to back down out of a mix of respect and fear.
